Hello folks.

My name is laMar and I am a long-time off-gridder and homesteader and live in Utah at the foot of the high Uintah mountains.

I designed and built my off-grid cabin for under $2000 and I power it with a 580 watt solar and 400 watt wind turbine system. heat is from wood stove with propane backup and I use a lot of passive solar features.

I am a semi-retired teacher, writer, photographer, videographer and small business owner. I have been promoting off-grid living and homesteading for many years in my books and videos and you can see all my systems and the cabin on my youtube channel:
