That's an awesome cigar room! I'd love to have something similar when the wife and I eventually move. I am thinking of buying one or two of those air purifiers so I can smoke inside. Winters are tough going outside and the cigar smoke really lingers in the house. I've been smoking a pretty decent amount lately and buying cigars left and right (probably more than I should lol). Also tasting lots of scotches and some bourbons... life is good!
Tried my first Opus X recently and loved it. Found a cigar shop about 30 mins away that sells a ton of Opus X cigars... and right across the street is an awesome cigar bar. Will definitely be spending more time there. Currently saving up some cash to buy a 10 box of Opus X Lost City cigars... about $300 but I want to age the hell out of them!
For those that don't know, Opus X are considered some of the best cigars around...
but don't get me wrong, although I've been buying some higher end cigars, I bought 50 cigars at .80 cents a piece that are my "daily" smokes. They're nothing special, but nice for a car ride or if I'm out and about. I don't mind throwing it out if I don't have time to smoke the whole thing, either. Hate doing that with a nicer cigar. Anyways, these are called Liga IV and they're on cigarsinternational as well.

ok,this may be a simple question, but what makes a good cigar a good cigar
Well to make it simple... if you like it then its good.
There are cigars that I've smoked that were just heavenly, and some that were horrendous. First and foremost, IMO, the cigar must be hand rolled to be considered good. Then things like taste, construction, and even how the cigar looks can be considered. Personally, the most important thing to me, and I'd say most people, is taste.
A cigar, unlike a cigarette, is something that you're going to be spending some serious time with. You're best off being relaxed and really enjoying the taste of it. When you suck the smoke in, let it stay inside your mouth for a few seconds before you blow it out. Then see what you taste. Some people have more refined palettes than others. For me, I can taste some "notes" but currently I'm more about "good" or "bad." Either way, I still find it enjoyable. This is similar to scotches and whiskeys where you swish the drink around in your mouth a bit before swallowing. All about appreciating the taste of it.

morote, hell yea brother!
I'd suggest getting this starter pack http://www.cigarsint.....038;cat=10
Then look at some of the 5 pack cigar samplers and give one or 2 a try. I'd try one group of mild cigars and one group of medium-full cigars. That will give you a great starting base.
Make sure to condition your humidor!!! Let me know what you end up picking up.
