I think it's a carry over from bachelor days where I rented a room and only had a hot plate, but I still love the stuff, cheap and lasts a long long time,

When I make it I either make it like soup and crack an egg in it and stir it up. Or I drain the water, add a splash of milk with half the seasoning packet, then stir it all up.

I used to eat a a little hole in the wall place in LA that served the authentic stuff. It was awesome!
