lol, so I hooked up with ahren and we have been playing on and off the last week. Ahren is more aggressive in his playing style then me. Usually he will say hey let's go check out that building and one of us will end up dying, this happened last night

we logged into a server hosted by sherdoggers, chicago 43 I think or something like that, lag was horrible for some reason and we were frame dropping all over the place, we were south of zelnagorsk and ahren says let's check out that grocery store. I replied dude, we are going to get killed with this lag, naw don't worry about it, we can get in and out quick. So we run over towards the store and z's start spawning everywhere, this isn't good, So we stomach crawl through the lag and make it in the back door of the building, we start searching the back rooms when we hear gunfire coming from our east. Someone else was close by. He asks what do you want to do, I replied we have enough stuff lets go back out these doors and crawl up the hill so we can scope out the town. He replied we will get killed that way, I can hear the zombies outside getting agitated so the guy must be close, let's sit here and see what happens. So he took up one end of the room in the end storage closet and I was in the other by the lockers back inside the door so we didn't catch each other in a cross fire. All I had on me was a uzi with 2 mags so I set it on full auto.

we are sitting there for about 10 minutes and we can hear the zombies calming down a little so we weren't sure if the guy was gone or what, I could hear a couple behind me through the wall and they were getting agitated and they were getting closer. I said ahren we are going to have to make a move here. Just then ahren started shooting off towards me, what the hell was that?!

I got him! who? the guy, he was crawling through the door, just then the shtf as about 10 z's who were behind the wall to my left came rushing into the room I was standing in, oh shit, I started taking them out and I heard ahren say he got hit as he ran off into the main store, just then 2 guys started opening up fire on ahren, they were waiting in the main room. I'm hit he screamed as I rushed past the z's and dove behind the counter looking around but I couldn't see anyone except the z's piling out the doorway behind me. I started shooting them when one of the z's swiped me and broke my leg, son of a bitch. Ahren is moaning somewhere near me, I can't see the 2 guys who shot him and then I got swiped and knocked unconsience at around 5000 blood. Ahren finally was able to get to his feet, I screamed run dude, I'm dead get out of here. He took one look back and rushed out the door. 4 zombies were in front of me as my hourglass is running down, I just keep muttering I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead. These 4 zombies are going to eat me before I can regain conscience. Just then the z's backed up and were just looking at me. What the hell, my timer is running down, but not as fast as my blood. Suddenly my timer runs out, I'm awake, I have 3200 blood, I bandage myself, pop a morphine and start running, screaming I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive. I holler for ahren, where are you, I don't know he replies, I'm in a house. I am losing my vision due to blood loss, everything is just a grey blob. Run he says, run for the hills, so I did.

Somehow I lost the z's in the store and the 2 guys shooting at ahren, I stumble on top of the mountain south of zelnagorsk. I called out to ahren, where are you? I'm still in the house, you hear anything? No I am going to, oh shit.. they are in here, who? the shooters.. pop, pop, pop

Ahren was dead.

I was stuck on a mountain top, with no ammo, 4000 blood after eating some food and blind as a bat, the sun was starting to set and I had 2 enemies somewhere north of me

so ahren respawns somewhere east of cherno, where are you he says, I am east of the barn on the hill south of zelen, I'm loosing my vision and can't see 10 feet in front of me, save me ahren!

I'm on my way he replies, so I spent the next 45 minutes staring at trees as I hear him over skype hitting up tree stands and barns on his way to rescue me. Damn it he says, what? No guns, all I found was a hatchet and a couple of cans of food. Well get over here and we can figure something out. I can hear branches snapping around me, I jump at every little sound, thinking I am about to meet the respawn gods.

Where are you he calls out, I'm right here. Where? Right here on top of the mountain. Let me turn on my flashlight and see if you can see me. Literally he was like 15 feet from me and all I could see was the flash of his flashlight. I crawl over to him. What do you want to do I ask? I want to go back and grab my gear he says. Dude are you serious, I have no ammo, can't see and you have a hatchet. Yup he replied. Okay let's go. We start making our way west to hit up the barn to check for weapons right when the server resets and we get booted. WTF

we hop on another server, it's still night time. since we are on a different server, ahren's body and gear is gone. Now what do you want to do, let's hit the barn still he replies. You stay here, I'll go check it out and come back, we need to keep you alive cause you have all the tools. I suggested ahren take my alice pack and everything, that way if I die he still has everything. He replied, don't talk that way man, we are going to make it! So he starts crawling towards the barn and I decide to pull out my binoculars. Holy shit, I can see! I can't see 10 feet in front of me, but I can see fine through my shaking binoculars. I start giving ahren intel where the zombies are spawning around him, next thing I know he swipes a zombie with the hatchet and the z falls dead. Holy shit, that guy was like 10 feet from me and I killed him. I told him yep the hatchet works good. He clears out the barn and makes his way back to me. Now what do you want to do? Let's hit the grocery store again. You mean the one we just got slaughtered in? yep, Okay.

So we head west along the bushline north of the barn. You know i commented, that worked pretty good with me sighting for you, you want to do that again, sure he replies. So Ahren takes off down the road and I position myself under a light pole and start giving him locations of z's spawning around him. He is death incarnate with the hatchet. He slowly makes his way into the store as about 10 z's are following him in, I can hear him saying, please god, spawn a gun, spawn a gun, shit no gun, it's hatchet time. I wish I had it on video the massacre that happened in that tiny store, but only me, ahren and god know the true destruction that happened. I don't think he got touched once by a zombie. Just then ahren reports he can hear gunfire outside the store. I scan the area and see nothing except somehow 3 zombies have decided to walk up the hill straight towards me, I can't see anything without the binoculars, no depth perception it's hard to gauge how close they are. I'm like dude you got to get up here, or else I'm going to die. He says be right there, I can see him crawling out the front door and making his way across the parking lot, I decide it's best to move west across the road away from the z's, there are about 10 around me. He makes his way up to me and gives me some cans of food and I eat them, bringing my blood up a little. What do want to do he asks,we should head west and do some hunting and get me healed up, you know I said, if you can kill a z with the hatchet, you should be able to kill a animal, true he replied. Just then he shouted holy shit, what I asked. There's a cow and goat right in front of us, well go get them killer. Ahren runs over and one swipe kills the animals, and I went over and gutted them giving us 11 steaks. We start making our way towards the woods when another goat appears. 3 more steaks in the bag. We quickly make a small fire and cook our game, bringing us back up over 11,000. We slowly turn our backs on zelen and the carnage left behind and slip away into the night.

you have to have arma 2 and operation arrow head to play the game, I think it was 30 dollars on steam, the dayz mod is free though
