Can't say from personal experience. I only get cases on ones gone wrong. When it goes wrong, it's a lifetime of probs ranging from headaches to multiple additional surgeries that never correct the defect.
K, look for an experienced doc with a long history of success. Look up the doc on the appropriate Board website. Look for disciplinary actions and medical malpractice reports.
If you expect physical contact, I've heard MDs say they recommend a different procedure. Have seen "halos" as a frequent complaint after surgery effecting night and or low light vision (like during rain). Sometimes they resolve themselves.
