Okay, so i had to look it up. Darkseid's eye beams are called "Omega Beams".

I rewatched the trailer pausing often and took screenshots. There is a hint at the Joker, and the creature badguy is absolutely Doomsday. I looked it up and was correct: Doomsday doesn't have eye beams. But they show Luthor doing some kind of experimentation on Doomsday and also show Luthor with Zod's body. I don't know if they're sticking to the Doomsday origin story and adding eyebeams from Zod, or something else. In the destruction from the Doomsday eye beams, the magnitude is on the level I would expect from Darkseid's Omega Beams, not from Kryptonian heat vision. And you can see zigzag electric like glimpses during the destruction scene which again suggests Darkseid's Omega Beams. And they may or may not have Darkseid in this film, but they hint at Darkseid because they do show Darkseid's army of "Paradeamons". They are the winged creatures seen fighting the Superman Army and Batflack.

anyone seen how long it's suppose to be? It would have to be 2-3 hours long with everything they are throwing into this, unless they aren't developing any of the side storylines and just using them as introductions

I tried looking up the running time the other night. It seems they're keeping that secret for now. Normally imdb has it, but not even the entertainment news/spoiler sites know.

I think there'll be 90% action/fighting, and some story including sequences. But based on that trailer, I'd say 3 hours minimum, maybe pushing 4.

Like ET said, they're trying to cram too much into the one film.
