So we went and saw it today.  It was pretty good, but flawed.  I agree with most people that give it a solid 6.5-7 rating.

Spoilers:

First, as I suspected, it was WAY too much crammed into the movie.  At times, the pace seemed frantic.  Lots of loose ends.  Lots of unexplained stuff.  Hell, I don't even understand Luther's motivations.

Eisenberg was good as Luther, but I think he would have been a better Joker or Riddler.

I personally feel like there were two movies there.  BvS and Doomsday.  They could have easily broke it into two movies with Doomsday being the intro to JLA.

Batman should have been the one compiling the Metahuman files, not Luther.  It would have been a natural fit to the plotline.  It was largely unexplained, and shoehorned in.  Once again, if there had been two separate movies, there could have been more emphasis on Batman being wary of these other metahumans.

I still don't understand what Luther's blood had to do with the creation of Doomsday.  Did I miss something??

Why is Batman branding people??  Seems like it was largely out of character to comic book batman.

Why was Batman going to execute Superman?  That makes no sense.  First, Batman generally doesn't kill people.  Secondly, even if you get past that, why execute superman??  Punishment hardly fit the crime.

Didn't like Martha Kent.  Didn't seem like an accurate portrayal of her.

So did Jimmy Olsen get killed in the first 5 minutes of the movie?  First, it was largely unexplained that it was Jimmy that got offed.  And he was a CIA plant?  Total butchering of the character and a waste killing of a major character.

And since when do inmates get their heads shaved when going into prison?  So that's how you make Luther bald??  Once again, just gross diversion from the source material.

I don't think so.  Everyone was leaving, so I assumed there wasn't anything.  Lex Luther did hint that something bad was coming from "beyond the stars".  Most likely Darkseid, although it could be Brainiac.
