Damn, I can't even imagine what that must be like, poor family
A man with short term memory loss after being gravely injured in a road crash has to be reintroduced to his daughter every day.
In a situation with similarities to the Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore film 50 First Dates, Neil Rackham keeps forgetting his four-year-old daughter Lilah.
He and wife Aimee were living in the US state of Georgia in 2010, when Nick was run over by an 18-wheeler truck while riding his bicycle.
Doctors told Aimee, 32, the best thing for Nick would be if he didn't survive the first night in hospital but he pulled through.
Before the crash the couple had been trying for a baby, and a few months later Aimee discovered she was pregnant, MailOnline reported.
As a result of the crash Nick is unable to make day-to-day memories, and has to be reintroduced to Lilah every time he sees her.
"He knows Lilah is our daughter but seeing her is disconcerting for him," Aimee said.
"He knows he has a child but can't understand how this little girl who is almost five could be his daughter, because he doesn't have four-and-a-half years of memories to back that up," she said.

Kind of like the note book...not a TBI situation, but Alzheimer's in the movie. Get's scary when you can't remember where you left your keys, where you were going to go.
Medicine can keep the major body systems going...but can't do much (really nothing) to keep the mind going.
Wait til the baby boomers start getting even older...Long Term Care will really implode.
