Man technology is amazing, came across this story from a school in the area.
Jasmine is a homebound student and has a condition that hinders mobility which prevents her from attending school in-person.
Last September, Jasmine’s schoolmates decided to help find a way for her to attend school. They began fundraising to buy a robot that would give Jasmine the freedom and ability to go to school, and feel more connected to her classmates and teachers. Jasmine received her Double in February, and has been attending school since then.
Fast forward to present day, and hear about how Double has changed Jasmine’s life.

Several months ago, we were watching CBS Sunday morning and they had a segment about using these types of robots in museums. Basically, it could allow anyone to visit the Louvre, etc. Then a couple months ago, my son visted the National Cryptologic Museum at NSA (I almost got locked up for making a wrong turn, but that's another story) and they had one there. Kind of neat, but doesn't seem to do well in large, dense crowds.
Here's the segment I was talking about.
