I don't know if this is the dumbest, but coming from the person who said it, it really stands out.

My daughter and I were talking about one of her teachers and it gave me a flashback to this.

So I was a young man and was taking some college courses, I hadn't been in school for awhile so I took some basics for a refresher, including chemistry

So I was sitting in class one day, day dreaming out the window when I heard the professor comment, mass and weight are basically the same thing, my head snapped around and before I knew what I was doing, I said.

No it's not.

All eyes turned towards me, including the professors.

Weight is dependent on gravity, while mass is not I said.

Well for this class we are considering them the same.

I just shook my head ,got up and left, I dropped the class the next day
