I can understand that is your choice and preference of which you are perfectly entitled to. There are times when a taxi makes good sense, but it is quite an expensive choice as a way to get around every day, several times a day at $10 - $30 per ride. Personally speaking, for most trips, subway and bus were my preference at $1.50 per fare (now $2.50 per fare apparently). Taxi tended to be for to and from the airport or traveling between boroughs. Who knows, if you ever travel to NYC, you may find yourself recalling my overview of options.Just remember to buckle up in that taxi. You know, for harm prevention.
