And the worse part of this whole thing is there was no attempt to breach security.  What if somebody actually tries??  What if they're using something a little more complex than a store bought quad copter??

Wouldn't have to be anything more complex.  The larger ones could carry a small IED, no problem. 

That's what's worrisome about the whole thing. Someone, somewhere is paid a hell of a lot of money to protect the most important person in our government and no one has thought of this threat before?  You would think they would have something on the White House like that Russian tycoon Abramov has on his yacht-some type of detection system and laser that would disable drones. 

The military has detection systems that can pinpoint a gunshot within a few feet, but our Secret Service doesn't know someone has shot the White House until a secretary sees a hole in the wall?
