Nothing would surprise me. I have lost faith that anyone in the DC circle of power has any ability to relate the world we live in to the Constitutional values I believe in. I find it difficult to rationalize that the current topics in today’s headlines haven’t been worked out months or years ago and now both sides are just acting out their parts to keep us all in line and thinking that our elected representatives are actually working in our best interest.

I was sincerely disappointed when snowe came out and said she could not support the health care bill. Most people have a very short memory, I don't. Most people in Maine forgot that the only reason the healthcare bill went in front of congress was the vote in the finance committee where snowe is a member and she was the deciding vote in approving of the health care bill. I for one am happy she is retiring
