anyone been able to get on? I have been trying for the last 24 hours and nothing. As a self employed person, I pay 550 a month with a 3500 deductible per family member, I would like to see what other options are out there

I heard it essentially self-destructed due to high traffic volume. I am sure it will even out within a few days/week and you will be able to get on without issues.

Maine has a exchange set up so I hopped on there to see what was being offered, my insurance would go up to 775 with less coverage, I think I'll be staying with my current policy

Wow, $250 more? I am pretty fortunate that I have really good insurance through the University I work for... Hard to beat $298 a month for a family of four (with no deductible); the salary here isn't anything to brag about, but the insurance costs are a blessing and make up the difference.

agreed, I'm gonna keep trying to get on the gov site to see if it shows something different. One question I have is I thought I read somewhere if you don't have insurance, you have to pay the fine, but you're still covered, is that correct?

I have studied it a bit, and unless I am mistaken, those who opt out and pay the fine do not receive health insurance. Not saying I necessarily agree or disagree with their train of thought, but I believe the general idea is to convince those without insurance to sign up because they will be paying either way.
