Homesteading Video Games | The Compost Bin | Forums

Got some time to kill. Here are some Homesteading style games in no order.

1st: Oregon Trail. I don't remember much of anything about 4th and 5th grade but what I do remember was sitting in the computer room playing this game every chance I had. This game has been updated with many sequels since it first came out. If I was to recommend one game this would be it.

2nd: Sim Farm(old game that can run on older computers without a hiccup) 

3rd: Farming Simulator 2013. Whether you play online or offline there is not much competition. All players will work together to keep there farm running. Slight learning curve for those who are new. Pretty looking game.

4th: Harvest Moon:Back to Nature. I have spent a lot of time with the Harvest Moon games and they are simple and very addicting.

5th: Third World Farmer. The design seems rather simple for someone who just wants to jump in and kill some time without much of a learning curve.

I'm sure there are many more Homesteading style games out there I have missed so if I come across some more ill add them to the list.
