I would prosecute the for kidnapping, as well as suing them for damages related to PTSD, etc.

I didn't listen with the sound on, but definitely agree.  But you don't know how that will affect people (both the kids and adults).  But at the end of the day, they are guilty of kidnapping.  Whether they returned the kid few minutes later, said it was a prank, etc., it's still kidnapping.

seems the mother was in on it, I believe she was the one in the back seat when they talked to the officer, still a extremely dumb move
