holy crap, a second time
David Perdue was on his way to sneak in some surfing before work Thursday morning when police flagged him down. They asked who he was and where he was headed, then sent him on his way.
Seconds later, Perdue's attorney said, a Torrance police cruiser slammed into his pickup and officers opened fire; none of the bullets struck Perdue.

Deranged killer or not, last time I checked the police were supposed to serve and protect the community. Shooting up a vehicle because they "think" a suspect "might" be in that vehicle isn't protecting the citizens, it's putting them at risk. While I respect law enforcement officers for doing a very hard job (a job I admittedly have zero desire to do) the LAPD seriously needs to step up their level of professionalism. This isn't the gaza strip, and they can't treat it like it is. Shooting up the cars of innocent civilians is NOT ok.
