I think they might need some marriage counseling

A woman has been left completely perplexed after her husband razed their home to the ground with no warning.
When Diane Andryshak left her home to run some errands, she believed her husband would be knuckling down to the on-going renovations on their property.
She didn’t have the slightest inkling he had a much bigger project on his mind for their home in Middletown, New York.
When she returned home a few hours later, the property was completely demolished - with all their furniture, clothing and personal belongings still inside.
The man driving the bulldozer was her own husband, James Rhein
When asked why he didn’t give his wife some advance warning and let her remove their belongings, he simply said: “I’d tried calling her – she didn’t answer the phone.”

Diane Andryshak came home to find her husband piling their belongings into skips (Picture: CBS)

As well as his wife, he also failed to notify local authorities about the demolition, which earned him a criminal mischief charge from police and a $300 bail charge.

Neither the gas or electricity supply was shut off before the demolition took place, which could have caused a fire or explosion.

A neighbour told a local news station News 4 New York that Andryshak was “very upset” when she discovered her house had been reduced to rubble - not least because it was still full of her personal belongings.

Mr Rhein is adamant he didn’t do anything wrong, saying the house was unsalvagable and "had to come down” because of bad foundations.

Seems perfectly reasonable to me.  That'll learn her.
