School Shooting...two dead...no word how it happened yet...maybe murder/suicide?

Really?  Two tenth grade girls...The older I get the more sick I get over this stuff.

sounds like it, or a suicide pact. Feel horrible for their parents and family, can't imagine what they are going through.

they say statistically this is the safest time to be alive, that may be true but they are still our kids and it is our job to worry about them, my daughter is 19 and is going to her first concert by herself in a couple weeks down in Portland and it is bothering the crap out of me.

I hear you K.  I was twitchy as heck when my daughter left a few years ago to go to college in NY City.  Then as soon as she got there, Sandy hit, and it was a mess to evacuate her...worked out okay in the end and she impressed me, she actually handled it quite well and was pretty resourceful.

I think a lot about the time I grew up in, the times my kids are growing up in ... and then I think about my father who grew up in the Great Depression and then he was in WWII...every generation has their 'big things'.

Yeah, it's all a part of life. It's going to be hard when she finally flies the coop.
