I have a bit of a fascination with extreme weather.  I came across this site today that has a lot of storm chasers live streaming their chases overlaid with a map of the area they are in as well as the satellite weather.  Thought I would share for any other weather buffs.

The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management raised the Arkansas death toll to 16 early Monday - eight adults and two children in Faulkner County, five people in Pulaski County and one in White County.

The 10 Faulkner deaths would have been in Vilonia. VERY close to my property which was south of the destruction. I went out yesterday to check on my property. It was completely undisturbed. Then I went north to see how near a miss it was. As stated, quite close.

Thankfully the tornado followed the same corridor suggested in the research I had done prior to buying the property. Glad the pattern of the data held.

Vilonia was torn up quite badly. It was my very first time seeing the aftermath of a tornado in person. I took some video on my phone not to share, but rather to document as a reminder to myself when I am eventually living out there.

Once in Vilonia, I decided to capture a few gps coordinates so I could map the path to compare with the prior data that I had studied. Again, as stated, it matched the expected pattern. I traced from as far southwest as Mayflower, and as far northeast as Romance/Floyd where I lost the trail.

On the evening of the event, I was uncertain from the news if it was different tornadoes for Mayflower and Vilonia. Based on tracing the path, it looks like it was all just the one. (For my area that is.)
