One of the most frustrating things from a business perspective is no longer being able to find a simple fax machine, everything is 5 in 1 or more. I don't need a copier, scanner, printer, phone and juice maker. I just want a simple fax!

By it's very nature, a fax has nearly always been a Fax/Phone/Scanner/Printer/Copier.

  1. It's a fax, it should have fax capability.
  2. It can't transmit/receive without phone capability (It just doesn't necessarily need a handset, though nearly all the early ones did) unless you were wanting an original telegraph version.
  3. It (traditionally) has nothing to send without a scanner
  4. It's of no use without a printer to um, you know, print what you've been sent (I don't know if you're thinking of the old classic thermal print machines, but those were very low quality and would fade. Thermal print quality has improved, but still fades.)
  5. By virtue of having a scanner and printer, it is effectively a copier

I don't see much business sense in trying to use one of these bad boys. And it still has a phone (rotary!!) and a printer (carbon transfer!!).

I'm assuming what you really mean is you want something with a small footprint, low price tag, and economical to operate. A basic laser fax.

Not hard to find. Just go to TigerDirect and search for fax. Plenty of good options.
