You're right about that. I had a lot of people trying to deny that there was any kind of shenanigans going on with the election, but there's hard evidence that Clinton did indeed influence the primaries to gain the nomination.
Additionally the Trump phenomenon can be linked to a source most people aren't looking at: the left itself. There are many regular Americans who essentially got sick and tired of being labeled awful things like misogynistic, xenophobic, homophobic and racist. Hell, I personally was told I am a racist, and had my life and career threatened by some of my brother in laws friends because I tried to convince him and them that firebombing innocent people at the republican national convention would have been a bad idea. They literally threatened to kill me for suggesting that maybe it's morally unjust to burn innocent people alive.
This year, I've been called the worst things I've ever been called in my entire life, for having a different opinion and having the audacity to express it. This has been done by people who claim to be tolerant. This kind of behavior has done an excellent job of alienating a huge chunk of the population, and the Trump phenomenon is a direct backlash in response to this culture of intolerance the sjw movement has created.

DD makes a very good point. These days, anyone who leans conservative is labeled as hating anyone who is not white, wishing death on the LGBT community, and of course they hate anyone who is Islamic, right?*
*Please note the dripping sarcasm.
I think the polls were way off this year because anyone conservative kept their mouth shut on who they were voting for (until they got to the ballet box), out of fear that they would be ridiculed.
Personally, I couldn't stand either candidate and voted 3rd party like I typically do.

Are you serious?!? Did you report that to anyone? I would be making phone calls DD. There is having a debated political discussion and then there is totally crossing the line.
Nah. Threaten me all you want to. I train all the time. i carry a gun. I'm confident I can handle myself against 90% of the people out there, and 99% of the people who would make threats to a total stranger under the umbrella of internet anonymity. Bring it.

It gets even deeper. There are people who actually lied to the pollsters about who they were voting for, because who really wants the hatred they are sure to receive if they admit to voting Trump? I mean, I'm getting a ton of hate and I voted for Johnson lol!

what do you guys think about the call for a recount? What does HRC have on stein?
I think it's funny that a month ago, HRC said that to not accept the election results would pose a real threat to the stability of our democratic process. Boy what a difference a few weeks makes.
