Oh wow. I just came across this on imgur. Talk about capturing a personal moment. I think his presence of thought to capture it was remarkable. All I can think is: "My condolences". It really does happen to everyone at some point.

Recently I had the opportunity to return home to NYC. While in the region, I took a drive out to my literal "Happy Place". Yes, I have one and it's a real place. I wasn't sure it would even still exist after 36 years, but to my awe and amazement, there it was! It was not what it once was, but everything about it burnt into my young memory still existed remarkably intact.
Upon finally settling down to just enjoy and re-experience it, I felt myself overwhelmed. It was profound and cathartic. I remembered this post, took out my phone, and selfie filmed myself swept up in an emotional freight train.
I have pictures, videos, and even sound samples recorded on a digital audio recorder. If I can find photos to do it justice, I plan to have them enlarged and frame them.
The selfie "experience" video is just for me. But if not for the photos that led to this thread, I doubt I would have thought to film it to be preserved like that.
My love affair with beds of moss runs deep.
