Theft of Tide detergent has become so rampant that some cities are setting up special task forces to stop it and retailers like CVS are taking special security precautions to lock down the liquid.

I need to start making counterfeit Tide and sell it on the street corner
19 Feb ’12
I've read and heard about this and I still call bullshit! It makes absolutely no sense. It's heavy, hard to carry (esp. in bulk), hard to make a getaway with and has a limited value. I mean I heard about it on the radio after reading about it on the UG and even the radio news excerpt didn't make sense. He talked about someone trading a $20 bottle of tide for a $10 crackrock and then the dealer selling it to the local corner store for $6, and somehow the news guy said this all equaled $30. To me, it seems like the dealer sold a $10 rock of crack for $6. Someone's trolling somewhere.
