You can find this sort of thing everywhere. Yeah, it's just bad apples, but its bushels and bushels of them.

That's what happens with immunity. There needs to be accountability and swift consequences. Lets say the response to this video was not "investigation" (read: placation) and instead, the officer was immediately fired, permanently barred from all law enforcement, jailed, funds seized from his personal bank accounts to replace the device he damaged, and aggressively prosecuted. What message would that send? Then anytime something is clearly captured in full context on video, every subsequent response was equally swift and harsh. Stuff would probably still happen, bad apple methodologies would change to adapt, bad apples would continue to be bad, but I believe it would be on a much smaller scale.

Misdemeanor assault and battery and possible felony destruction of property.
