I've hiked it twice. it is beautiful. If you are claustrophobic, I would not recommend it. it changes regularly because of flash floods. On my most recent trip there was a portion that I had to take my pack off, and slide sideways underwater to get under a boulder that was lodged in the canyon. You will also need some rope and basic climbing gear.

We usually slept in front of the back country permit office on Thursday night to get permits to hike it on Saturday. Then spent Friday on the Narrows or Angels Landing. Love me some Zion's ntl park. Also check out Arches, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon and Canyonlands, Southern Utah is awesome.
