2 teens break into house, man shoots and kills teens, doesn't call police, neighbor reports it next morning after man asks him for advice for lawyer

If he just shot them and called cops, no problem. Shouldn't have done the execution shot and waited till the next day to contact police. Who knows if the media is exaggerating on the "execution" shot though.

That is way north of me. I did see this "what he told police was a "good clean finishing shot".
Its stuff like this that really, in the end, gives gun owners the bad name. Not the crazies. Its the guys who cant calm down, take a moment to assess the true nature of their situation, and then act.
This says it all "The law doesn't permit you to execute somebody when there's no possible way the crime can continue".
Its too bad.
Dont get me wrong. If someone breaks into my place there is a chance I would shoot as well. But I am going to do everything in my power to NOT have to. If I can escape, Im doing so. But just because someone breaks in, it does not mean your life is in danger and you should AUTOMATICALLY resort to lethal force. Be the smart gun owner/operator you said you were when you bought it is all I want people to do.
