lol, what is going on in Michigan

A strange home invasion incident occurred in Cadillac early Wednesday morning.

Officers from the Cadillac Police Department say that around 2:40 a.m. they were called to a home on East Mason Street regarding a suspicious situation.

Police say the caller reported hearing what sounded like a knock at the door and then a crow bar hitting the ground.

Upon arrival to the scene, police found a man approaching them with a large knife in his hand.

Police say it was quickly determined that the man was the caller’s neighbor and was actually the victim of a Home Invasion that had just occurred next door.

The man told police he had been sleeping on his sofa when an intruder entered his home wielding the large knife.

According to reports, the intruder confronted the man and stated, “You’re going to smoke some weed with me right now.”

The man told police that he was able to stall the intruder, who eventually set the knife down.

The man says he then grabbed the knife, ran to the neighbors, and knocked on their door for help.

In fear that the intruder was chasing him, he says he didn’t wait for the neighbor to answer the door before going inside.

Further investigation led police to the alleged home intruder after he reportedly fell down a steep hill behind the home.

According to reports, the 36-year-old man resisted police orders but was eventually taken into custody without incident.

The man was later found to be on probation through the Wexford County’s District Court.

No one was seriously hurt in the incident, however, the suspect did report that his wrists were injured by the police officer’s handcuffs.

Police say he was transported to Munson Hospital in Cadillac and was later released without any apparent injuries.

He has since been lodged at Wexford County Jail and charged with Home Invasion, Resisting and Obstructing police officers and for violating his probation.

He is expected to be arraigned sometime Wednesday or Thursday in Wexford County’s District Court.

yeah, luckily the guy didn't get into our house a couple years ago, but even that was pretty emotionally devastating for my wife and daughter
