I have a 10 year old craftsman lt2000 that I'm about to drive into the pond, seems we have to replace the mandrels every year and the belts burn up every other month, told my wife it was time for a new mower

I only have a ~22" self propelled lawn mower. Takes forever to even mow a small area around the house. I want to get a finish mower for the tractor but don't have the money.

Have you thought of a pull behind or front mounted mower for your ATV? Scratch that. When trying to find a picture I read about them... I guess they are hard to mount, require you put different tires on your ATV if you don't want to tear up the grass, and are pretty expensive.

I have seen some normal looking lawn tractors that have front wheels that can spin 360 degrees -- they are zero turn but more for the average homeowner. Just an FYI.

This could be a good excuse to pick up an old tractor with a finish mower. A buddy at work did that -- a small Farmall Cub with a belly mower for just over $1k.
