I normally use firefox or chrome but lately they have been running slower than molasses, when I start chrome and check task manager I have like 6 chrome processes running at the same time, I downloaded opera last night and it seems much more faster and responsive, anyone else notice this with ff and chrome?

I use Chrome. It does seem to run slower for me some days then others. Have not heard of "opera" before how are you liking it?

I rock firefox. I like their addons. hasn't seemed any slower than usual, but my webs crawl at a snails pace.

Chrome is the best.  Why does it open up multiple sessions in task manager?  BEcause each tab is its own session.  It would be like opening IE 4 times.  If you have some extensions, it will likely create even more sessions.

FF is ok.  It is easily the most labor intensive browser.

IE is actually not bad.  However, you have no real extension library.  Its not the IE of old but its not on par with the above two.

Opera is great in theory.  However it will render some pages improperly and in my experience it was kind of buggy at times.  It can act as a torrent client which can be a plus for some.

If you want a nice secure browser, check out Comodo Dragon.  I used it for a time a couple years ago.  They use the Chromium source code.
