One of my favorite bands and somehow my daughter loves them too but without Steve Perry it feels like a cover band. They are playing in Bangor in a couple weeks.

The singer they have now is a Filipino guy, Arnel Pineda, who sounds just like Steve Perry, it's amazing.   I saw them about 10 years ago and honestly it was the worst show I've ever seen.  that was way before Arnel, though.  From what I hear since he's taken over the vocals the shows have been really good.  I know a couple of musicians that are big Journey fans and they've said the shows are much better since he's joined.

That's the thing, I was listening to Pandora in my workshop last night and faithfully came on, I thought to myself, this doesn't sound right so I glanced at my phone and it said Journey Faithfully (2008). So it was a rerecording after Pineda joined. I don't want my memories destroyed like the remake of ghostbusters did. 🙁
