interesting, I think this will turn a lot of people off if true

Should Lessig beat the odds and win the White House, he would not be there very long, if things go according to his plan. Once the Citizen Equality Act is signed into law, he's vowed to vacate the Oval Office and hand over power to his vice president.

Its the preliminary list of Vice President names which bother me most. I understand the "singular purpose" rational, but its not realistic. The office of President is anything but singular in purpose. It's a 24/7/365 constant barrage of urgent and high stakes duties.

Lessig has a message to get out. It's a cause worthy of a radical statement by the votership electing him by a landslide. That's the idea.

All that said, Lessig has some terrific qualifications. He's a highly intelligent and capable man. Should the hypothetical be made real and he were elected in, I believe he's more than capable of handling the realities of the job. Of course one of those realities will be a filibustered lame duck red tape molasses welcome to "go nowhere" Washington. It'll take him at least the full 4 years to get any movement on the issue. He'll grow prematurely grey and withered as is the fate of all presidents. And it'll make for quite the show to watch it all.

The system is fixed. The media manipulates polls to make it look as if the person they favor is winning. They write articles against the person the people want. They write more articles telling you why the real favorite will never be president.

One thing is for certain, shenanigans will be had.
