I thought the same thing, but they were all really cool.  Not that I would probably ever use it, that's one area that I would really like to improve on.

Believe it or not, trapping has no place in Boy Scouts.  For Wilderness Survival, BSA has abandoned food gathering as a requirement.  I think their focus is on 72 hour survival scenario, which I hear a lot of survival "experts" (Cody Lundin, Les Stroud) preach as the most common scenario.
