Not a bad video showing the basics of dehydrating your own.

One of my ALL TIME hits for backpacking meals was dehydrated burritos.

dehydrated blackbean flakes are pretty east to buy, but not hard to make either in the old reliable ronco dehydrator.

cheese travels surprisingly well, as does an onion.

salsa becomes a fruit roll up in a dehydrator, but honestly I would just grab handfuls of salsa packets when I cam across them. Cholula packets are GOLD, don't be shy!

Cook up very lean meat (fat goes rancid... ground turkey or game meat is ideal) and drain fat.

Add taco seasoning. simmer the heck out of it.

Dehydra

End result should look like cheap cat food. Store n ziplock and keep in the freezer if you don't plan on using it for a while.

On the day you plan to use it, place the "taco kibble" in a Nalgene with water and toss it in your pack. By evening it should be well hydrated.

Fry/heat it up in a pan. Add your beans, grated cheese, and fresh onions to the pot. Scoop into tortillas and ad salsa to taste.

On day five of a pack trip, this is an amazing luxury. Enjoy.

I've done dehydrated breakfast burritos, but that sounds amazing.

Usually I just dehydrate the ingredients for soup.  I've done wedding soup, gumbo, Amish chicken noodle, tortilla

how did the wedding soup turn out?

It turned out pretty good. I have to confess I froze little meatballs and wrapped them in newspaper and foil.  It didn't dawn on me to dehydrate them too.  They were still frozen on day 2 on 80 degree days.  I used kale chips for the greens, powdered chicken soup base I got from a coop (my girlfriend at the time was a hippy-got a lot of things from the coop) and dehydrated vegetables-also from the coop.  I couldn't think of a way to whip up parmesan cheese with eggs to make it float, so I just sprinkled cheese on top.

I just had a thought that made me giggle.  It would be totally something I would do, to take a swig out of the Nalgene bottle I was rehydrating dinner in.

I have dehydrated most every fruit or vegetable I have come across. Wanting to do something besides just jerky for work in the machines. I have never heard of such a thing as dehydrated burritos. This is awesome.

Right now I'm playing with making bouillon from demi glace. Next run though is gonna be burritos!

I experimented with eggs for a while. Scrambled well then dried worked but consistency was questionable. would work as an ingredient or in burritos I guess. We always (and I mean ALWAYS) did oatmeal in the mornings so we could get out of camp quickly so I gave up on the experiments pretty soon.

I did chicken alfredo sauce with good results too, but only did it once cause the clean up from a cheesy sauce was such a hassle (we were cooking for 10-12 people, often in dry camps).
