Hey B, this isn't first hand knowledge, but most of the gear chunker guys around here are raving about sufix siege line for monofilament, or power pro for braid. I dabbled with braid back when I fished gear and hated it, but it's a personal choice I guess.

I wanted Big Game, but they didnt have the color/line weight I wanted. Took the 20# test off and put the 14# Suffix on. I knew nothing about the line it just seemed like a good fit for me (bass and pike).

I like it. I am not nearly as accurate in casting. For some reason I also cant do a standard overhead cast, it just shoots into the water about 15' in front of me. Thumbing will take practice.

Yeah, I almost always threw a baitcaster side armed. If I overhead cast one, it was a rainbow shot that wasted a lot of time reeling in excess line.

Side armed is tough though. Its hard when there is shit all around you.
