I'm going. Didnt see a thing last year but I've been scouting out some spots for this year and have a decent set up. Gonna throw down some bait tomorrow.

we don't start till october for archery and then november for rifle, you guys shotgun only groin?

Yeah, no rifle in NJ.
Archery starts on Saturday. Permit shotgun starts in late October. There's a muzzleloader season also, but I dont to that.

for the first time in a long time i have no idea where i'll hunt. the land i've hunted for the past 6 years was lost to foreclosure and i haven't really had the time to ask or scout around. there is some decent state land within 10 miles, but it's a hike to get away from the crowds. i'll probably just spend the fall and winter fishing, which i've taken back up in earnest.
