the only thing right now open is bear, birds and moose (which you need a lottery permit for) Deer starts Nov 4th here

I went out last weekend and got skunked. Saw 30 or so does, but the full moon and clear skies had all the hunters frustrated.

We don't have access to any land either, but went to National Forest and kicked brush.

Been out three times now, still haven't seen anything with antlers. We were watching another hunter stalk a doe. Gave him a whistle so he knew we were there, really just didn't want him getting paranoid about us after shooting her. I have seen many hunters, but haven't even heard one rifle shot, so it seems I am not the only one getting skunked. Hiking back out yesterday we crossed three piles of what looked like bear scat (really reddish and full of berry seeds), apparently he wasn't far from us for quite a while. I think he got a glimpse of me and didn't think it would be worth the fight lol.

Gonna be trying for Elk with a home made long bow in 11 days. I'll let you know how it goes.

been out a couple times here in pennsylvania. seen a few doe didn't get doe tag this year. if I see 3 points on one side though its going down! LoL.
