Animals cant see the same as we do. It could be possible that this looks odd to them and raises a red flag. They say a wild animal only needs to have two of their sense triggered for them to run. They almost always smell you first.

I could totally see a scenario where this just looks way out of place and they hit the bricks.

Just being off the ground at all gives you a HUGE advantage even with very little "camo".
