I would say you owe it to yourself to check these guys out if they are local to you.

My experience is that its like a vacation get away spot in the city. Beautiful locations, lots of opportunity to meet like minded people, and a great organization. Its usually pretty cheap to join. I pay about $150 and that includes kayak storage.
