hi gang - a shout out to web girl for keeping the Facebook and Twitter and Instagram fires burning over the last month (by the way mark in your calendar that web girls bday is august 25th - send her some belated wishes! she keeps you informed!) - sorry I have been in a kind of radio silence - I've just been nursing the wounds from the car crash in Mongolia - lots of big news on the way - new Survivorman shows soon on air - new music - two new albums and follow up tours coming soon and as they say 'so much more' - Concerts this October 9th in Huntsville, Ontario - the 10th in Kitchener, Ontario (Princess Theatre) and the 13th in London, Ontario (London Music Club) - and I am booking a double gig in Nashville hopefully at the Bluebird for November (plus a special show in Costa Rica!!) - as an update on the injuries - the ribs are not bad so long as no one punches me there - the shoulders remain an issue mostly when I try to sleep - but the biggest hassle is the torn chest muscles - still can't do solid push ups or chin ups but trying some weights and yoga - anyway thats enough of me whining - I know this won't surprise many of you but I actually ordered my long time 2nd unit camera man Max, to get busy filming when the accident happened and we will have that edit ready to show you soon - he was right on the scene within about 40 minutes of the double roll over in the grasslands of Mongolia - for now I took it easy for the last month of summer before launching into new initiatives this fall - especially music touring. Many changes in the TV industry these days, so I don't have a solid update on what happens next in terms of filming new Survivorman or Survivorman and Son, but as soon as I know you will know. Thanks for hanging in there - don't count me out yet!!! Many years of creating ahead of me that will hopefully bring you enjoyment and perhaps even inspire you to re connect with nature......OH - and how about a once and for all answer for those of you who keep asking me to join forces and make a show with pretty boy Grylls or Cody the diva or Naked and Stupid or Alone But Not Really or Dual Idiots (not certain about the show titles smile emoticon ) .....I don't mean to be harsh (and in fact kudos to Grylls and Cody and Matt Grahame for actually being adventurers in their private lives) but why on earth would I, who've spent the last 15 years surviving for real and making those films for you, risking my life in the process for REAL, bother to hook up and take part in any one of those other shows - all of which fake, contrive, set up, pretend, or otherwise lie about what they are actually doing? (I'm sorry if I have burst a bubble or two - sorry Virginia there is no santa claus and those shows are all staged - I'm in the industry - I know) I wouldn't bother - they can only fake survival not go through it for real - so what do I think of those shows and their 'survival'? I think they're a joke and not worth watching (unless you want pure trash 'reality' tv and enjoy the entertainment value - which is fine if thats the case - those shows are the honey booboo's of survival TV - which began with Survivorman in 2001) ....just my opinion....don't mean to rag on them so don't go defending them now - I'm just answering the question finally....L hmmmmmmm - that otta get a response or two!!
