Hunter JOSH JAMES is an expert in everything from tracking and trapping wild game to ocean spearfishing, primitive shelter building to white water rafting. Growing up in New Zealand, Josh learned how to live off the land from an early age after seeing antlers adorning the wall of his Granddad's big dusty workshop. Convinced there was nothing better in the world than interacting with the wild, Josh spent his childhood riding BMX bikes, building huts, making spears, hunting deer in the forest, and fishing in the surrounding rivers and ocean.

As an adult, Josh feeds his family only with meat and fish that he has caught by hand. Josh lives with his wife and kids in a small town between the mountains and the ocean on the west coast of New Zealand's South Island. He has previously lived in Canada, Japan, Switzerland, and Australia, which equips him with the experience and skills to survive in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
