I have had offers for that. But they don't want to see a bad review. I will post an email I got from a flashlight distributor about a thread on here about their product when I get on my pc

I received this e-mail shortly after
Dear Homesteading Boards,
We recently noticed that one of the threads on your Homesteading forum reflects our company negatively in regards to the product we are currently selling.
We have since fixed the issue and would like to try to remove all negative comments towards our company and improve the image of our company.
What do we have to do in order to see this thread disappear? Can we send you one of our new and improved flashlights?

I would suggest that you accept the offer and write a review, but I would state that the review of the new product would be 100% unbiased and objective. The only thing I would be concerned about is that they might send you a better one than the general public could/would buy.

Kinda curious as to why they got a hold of you. All of the negative comments that I found were all online and was immediately found. If you were to take them on their offer,I wouldn't be opposed to purchasing when myself of the same model to see how they coincide.look at the bright side,no pun intended, you get a free flashlight.

No clue, probably googled the name of their product and came across the thread. Since google changed their algorithms for searching a couple weeks ago, we are showing much higher in search results, it's why I removed the login/registration pages, we've been getting hammered with about 100 spam registrations a day since then
