you wear glasses? could try to get a focal point with them, I've messed around with mine on my hand and have been able to get a pretty hot spot, but haven't tried starting tinder with them yet

I've had 0 luck with eyeglasses.  Not sure if it has anything to do with the type of prescription, type of lenses (ie UVA protection), or user error or any combo of the above.
