My wife and I purchased a home recently and I was walking the property a bit and come across this tree. I'm an individual that can point out common trees in our area. This tree I have no idea....

I live in Maine and I have done a bit of searching I haven't found anything yet but if you have any ideas it would be appreciated!

I'm not sure on the pods will have to find out this spring. Right now its completely empty, all that I know is that it drops a huge leaf.

you can e-mail the pic to the science dept at U-Maine, I did that when we had a blue frog in the pond, they responded back pretty fast on what it was
