No, that's called "On the Edge" or something like that. That one is ok imo, but it seems like too much manufactured drama. No, Ultimate Survival Alaska is almost like a game show. They have 4 teams of three that are "racing" (on foot) to a goal. It's almost like "Dude, Your Screwed" without the goofiness. The four teams are Military, Endurance, Alaska, and Lower 48.

By the way, the show is as extreme as can be and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a fatality at some point. Part of me seems to think there's a helicopter, med team and rescue team just off screen, but at the same time, last season there were some pretty harrowing moments and there seemed like "no f*cks were given". "Oh, we lost Marty in the 34 degree rapids. Hopefully we'll be able to find him"

I've enjoyed the past seasons, both for the true bushcraft some of the guys bring, and for some of the dumbest $*** I've seen people do and survive! And some truly boss scenery! I didn;t know they had a new one going, will check it out.

I think I missed the first season. But I thoroughly enjoyed last season. As I said above, very little manufactured drama (if any). This season is still good, but does seem to be suffering from manufactured drama with the "Lower 48" team. Everything seems real, but it seems as though they cast two people KNOWING they could never work together effectively.
