It’s pretty amazing what people are re-purposing these days; everything from pallets to tailgates as seen in the video above. Youtuber God’s Country had seen what others were able to do with the piece of scrap metal and decided to build his own. Luckily he did a great job documenting his tailgate bench and even provided his materials list.
Materials Needed:
- Tailgate
- Tailgate band
- Chevy grill
- 2″x2″x14 gauge tubing
- 1″x1″x1/8″ angle
- 1″x6″ pine boards
He states that he was able to find all the truck parts on craigslist for $30; which is pretty inexpensive for such a great project. People are selling these for over $400 dollars on several different sites online. Even if you have no welding experience you can still build them out of wood as seen on Ebay.
