Hello the forum,

I installed an airlift pump in my well last year and used it to water my garden. I use a small air compressor to provide the air. I am now thinking of some kind of device to compress air using wind power. Any ideas?

welcome @jacco , there was a forum post a year or so ago about compressing wood gas, it might fit your needs with some modification, let me look for it

found the thread, but I don't think it is what you want

you can build a windmill pump to provide the air instead of using the compressor, is this what you are thinking of?

KVR,

Thank you. I want to pump air instead of water, but the windmill can run an air pump just as well. I think I will try this and use it to run the air lift pump, that will leave me with the electric air compressor for a backup. Real good video, I think my problem is solved. Thanks so much for the help and have a good weekend. Later, Jacco.

your welcome, we had looked at some of the commercial units several years ago, but I couldn't justify the $1200 they cost, luckily there is a DIY version of just about everything
