Not to take this thread into a financial area, but there's talk of another banking crisis, this time involving oil. Low oil prices, combined with outstanding loans to production companies in default due to lack of being able to make payments could cause another lending crisis.
Not surprised, can't remember if I posted in this thread or another but there is suppose to be more than a trillion dollars in investments in the oil fields in the US just sitting. I believe it was opecs end game and why they keep pumping instead of cutting back production like they have when prices stagnated in the past.
well that didn't last long, wonder what it is going up to
U.S. stocks are pointing to another sharp relief rally when traders return from the long weekend as Wall Street reacts to news that Saudi Arabia, Russia,Qatar and Venezuela have agreed to cap crude production at January levels if other major producers, such as Iraq and Iran, follow suit.
Sinking oil prices, of course, have been a major cause of financial market turbulence to start 2016, as it has caused sharp drops in both the share price and earnings of oil-related stocks that resulted in negative ripple effects around the globe, including rising fears of recession. The tentative move to support prices, as it requires buy-in from other oil-producing nations in the Middle East, is being viewed as a first-step towards stabilizing crude prices.

I don't see Iraq doing anything to help anyone but themselves...and I can respect that to a point.
This may sound odd...but it might not be a bad thing to have another energy crisis with some gas lines and shortages...I think it would help people rethink how comfortable and wasteful we are becoming again.
