That doesn't look very safe to me

Dutch designers Roel de Boer and Michiel Martens built the Spruce Stove so that a diaphragm could close around once side of an entire tree which allows it to be fed in the stove. This same diaphragm is used to regulate how much air is allowed to feed the fire.
