A big limiting factor for tankless heaters is how often do you need to draw a lot of water. E.g. to fill a bathtub can take forever and the water can get cold if the GPM's are too low.Β
Good point. Probably mainly yhe shower and the dishwasher for us. Suppose it wouldn't be wise to use them at the same time, huh? π

this is the one we have and have never had an issue with hot water
That seems to be not too badly priced; average among a few others I lookod at. Helpful to know you have been completely satisfied with it.Β

we can run our shower and washing machine at the same time
Awesome.
Another question: how does this look for an emergency backup to get water from our well? Anyone know of something more cost effective? We want to have something like this in case we need it until we can get our all-encompasing solar set up.
Bison pumps are awesome, but I am a little bit prejudice because they are made here in Maine. How deep is your well? You could make a cheap bailer bucket out of pvc pipe as well.

Our well is about 350 feet deep and I believe the water table is currently about 50 feet down. IΒ just spent some time looking more into Bison pumps; looks like a good, solid product. Going to talk it over with the husband tonight and see what he thinks. Great to know about how to make a bailer bucket as well - would definitely like to put one of those together so we have something to draw water with even if mechanics fail.
